Cabin 4 is a clean and cozy 1 Bedroom with a pull out sofa, bathroom and kitchenette. The best part is how close to the water you are. You have your own deck to watch the sunrise or watch the kids play in the water. You can BBQ for dinner as you watch the sailboats go by. You will have access to the beach and dock right on Portage Lake (outside of Houghton). You will be yards away from the trail that connects you to Michigan Tech trails and takes you along the beautiful shoreline of Portage Lake. The perfect landing place for a tour of the Keewenaw sights, or just stay and relax by the lake all day. We do have a paddle boat and raft with a slide for your water enjoyment.

Beyond-Expectations
We had a beyond-expectations experience at Portage Lake Cabins. Clean, spacious, quiet - with an amazing view. The owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Terrific location and nice amenities. We met a couple looking for accommodations while we were touring the Hancock area and we recommended the cabins...they showed up that night and said they would come back for a future stay. Not only are we coming back...we're bringing more family with us next time!
