Meet our Family

The U.P. has been a very special place to our family. Brian grew up on the Keweenaw Peninsula and graduated from Lake Linden High School. It has been a dream of ours to someday be able to move here and raise our kids in such a beautiful area. In 2019, while on vacation to Portage Lake, Brian took a job in the Keweenaw and we sold our house in Idaho. We were thrilled to find the For Sale By Owner sign while driving by Portage Lake Cabins looking for property. After meeting Marcy and Tom we knew this was the next adventure for our family. 

Our dream of living in the U.P. has come true and now we have the gift of sharing that with all of you.  We knew this would be a lot of work, but at the end of the day we don't mind working for our dream. We live in an area that even in the middle of a global pandemic has an endless amount of outdoor activities with some of the best views imaginable. We love meeting each of our guests and hearing what has brought them to the area. We love watching them enjoy the things that has brought our family great joy. We love the U.P. and Portage Lake and we love the people that fill this place with joy! We hope you are the next guests that make memories here on Portage Lake!
